Dr. Ravi Kumar Singh is an accomplished Nephrologist with extensive experience in kidney transplantation and advanced renal care. He completed his M.B.B.S from Nalanda Medical College, Patna, where he was honored with multiple academic accolades including Honors and a Gold Medal. He went on to pursue M.D. in General Medicine from the prestigious Patna Medical College.
Driven by a passion for nephrology, Dr. Singh secured a top rank in the DNB Super Specialty Entrance Examination and completed his DNB Nephrology training at the renowned Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi.
He began his nephrology career at Jaypee Hospital, Noida, where he served as Consultant and later as Senior Consultant in the Department of Nephrology & Kidney Transplant. Currently, Dr. Singh is associated with Max Hospital, Patparganj as a Senior Consultant – Nephrology & Kidney Transplant.
With over 900 kidney transplants to his credit, Dr. Singh brings unmatched expertise to the field. He has been part of more than 50 ABO-incompatible transplants and over 100 transplants performed after desensitization. He also holds a special interest in combined liver-kidney transplants and transplants in highly sensitized patients.
Dr. Singh is proficient in various nephrology procedures including kidney biopsies, permcath insertions, and AV fistula creation and salvage—having successfully created over 150 radiocephalic AV fistulas. He has overseen more than 50,000 dialysis sessions and is deeply involved in critical care nephrology, including SLEDD, CRRT, and peritoneal dialysis.
In addition to his clinical excellence, Dr. Singh is actively engaged in research. He has presented his work at prestigious forums such as the American Society of Nephrology (ASN), ERA-EDTA, CAST, AVATAR, ISNCON, and other national and international conferences. He also has four research publications in reputed peer-reviewed journals.
